Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Barcode Scanner Simulator, offered by Orderpiqer (“we”, “us”, “our”) — including this website at barcodescannersimulator.app, the Chrome extension, the mobile web scanner used for remote pairing, and (when released) the desktop application. By installing, purchasing, or using the product, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the product.

Summary

• The product lets you emulate USB keyboard-wedge barcode input via hotkeys and/or remote scanner mode (your phone as a wireless scanner in Chrome).
• Free includes limited features; Pro is a one-time purchase (€2.95); Ultimate is a subscription (€2.95 / month) for higher remote scanner limits.
• Barcode values and mappings are stored locally on your device unless you choose to use network features (entitlement checks, remote scanner pairing).
• The software is provided as is; you are responsible for how you use it in your own systems and workflows.

Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. The product is not directed at children under 16. If you use the product on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

The service

Hotkeys mode

You may save barcode values and assign keyboard shortcuts. When you press a shortcut in a supported Chrome tab, the extension types the configured value (including optional prefix, suffix, and terminator) into the focused field.

Remote scanner mode

You may start a remote session in the extension, pair a phone via QR code or pairing link, and send scans from the phone camera into the active Chrome tab. Sessions use short-lived tokens issued through our site API and a third-party realtime provider (Ably). See our Privacy Policy for how data is handled.

Desktop app

A native desktop application may be offered in the future. These Terms will apply to it when released, unless we publish separate terms at that time.

Plans and limits

Feature limits depend on your tier. We may change limits or pricing with notice as described under Changes below. Current limits include:

Free

• 1 barcode mapping with hotkey
• Remote scanner: 3 sessions per UTC day, 1 concurrent tab, 1 connected phone per session, 10 scans per session

Pro (one-time purchase)

• Unlimited barcode mappings and advanced timing options
• Remote scanner: 3 sessions per UTC day, 1 concurrent tab, 1 connected phone per session, 30 scans per session

Ultimate (subscription)

• Everything included in Pro
• Unlimited remote scanner sessions per day and unlimited concurrent remote tabs
• Up to 5 connected phones per session, 100 scans per session

Per-session scan counters reset when you start a new remote session. Entitlements are verified through RevenueCat; you must sign in with Google where required for paid tiers on this website.

Purchases and billing

• Pro is sold as a one-time license via RevenueCat checkout linked from our site or extension.
• Ultimate is a recurring subscription billed according to the price shown at checkout (€2.95 / month). You manage or cancel subscriptions through RevenueCat or the flows we provide.
• Refunds are handled under the policies of the payment provider and applicable law. Contact us at info@barcodescannersimulator.app if you have a billing issue we can help route.
• Prices may include applicable taxes depending on your location and the checkout provider.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the product in violation of law or third-party rights
• Attempt to bypass tier limits, abuse remote scanner APIs, or interfere with other users’ sessions
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the service except where law permits
• Use the product to transmit malware, spam, or content you are not authorized to enter into target systems

You are solely responsible for barcode values you scan or type, and for ensuring you have permission to test or operate the applications and fields you target.

Intellectual property

We own or license the software, website content, branding, and documentation. Open-source components may be subject to their own licenses. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the product for your personal or internal business purposes according to these Terms and your tier.

Disclaimer of warranties

THE PRODUCT IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION, THAT SCANS WILL BE ACCEPTED BY EVERY APPLICATION, OR THAT REMOTE PAIRING WILL WORK ON EVERY NETWORK OR DEVICE.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PRODUCT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE PRODUCT WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE PRODUCT IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) EUR 50, EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW.

Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the product, your barcode content, or your violation of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our intentional misconduct.

Termination

You may stop using the product at any time by uninstalling the extension and cancelling subscriptions. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms or if required for security or legal reasons.

Changes

We may update these Terms or product limits. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the website or extension where practical. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise.
